Adrian Lithgow

Adrian is the founder and president of the IIMA.  He has lived with his family near Issigeac for the past 17 years but has known the Perigord since working here as a waiter while a teenager in the 1970s.

​

After graduation in Philosophy at University College, London, he reported for the West Lancashire Evening Gazette then for the Sunday Mercury in Birmingham before joining the Mail on Sunday, becoming Chief News Reporter then a Lobby Correspondent and was appointed the paper’s Political Editor in the Nineties.

​

His career led into the business world as Deputy Editor of Sunday Business and editor of the monthly Business Age, before heading to the City as Director of Corporate and Financial Public Relations at Lehmann Communications, during which time he also read Law at the Open University, then as MD of George Berkeley PR, specialising in Litigation Support PR.

​

Adrian now runs the Agence Eleonor estate agency in Issigeac and with his wife, Amanda, manages their rental properties.

​

Adrian has played an essential role in ensuring that the IIMA has an exceptional relationship with the local community, bringing enterprises and the arts together.
